Reflection of the Adventure of Hucklebery Finn

Mark Twain is the author of an inspiring novel called, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn. The main character in this novel is Huck, who had an up- and down throughout his life whether it was Douglas and his sister Watson who tried to educate him in a bad way. His father has drinking problems and he mistreated him to the point where he physically abuse him. Jim and Tom were the only ones who always be there for Tom. Huck and Tom were different races, but the relationship between both Huck and Tom was very strong to the point where Huck feels like Tom is like a brother to him. I believe that Jim and Tom are very close to one another because Jim doesn't want anything happened to Huck and Huck feels the same way to Jim.

My reflection of this novel is very emotional and factual. They used the word ''nigga'' in many ways with different meaning. The author used this word to convince readers of what was it like during that time in which each of these people responded to the word whether it was negative or positive. I choose emotional because Huck had a rough life and when he met Tom, it changes him and he wanted that love and passion to Tom. Throughout the chapter, he comes across another family and when he had a good time with them, he never had a family-type feel to him and I wish he had a perfect family like myself. So this was my reflection of The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn.

Emily Dickinson's Quotes

1. ''Forever is composed of nows.''

This quote explaining that because all events are done in the now, that means all the past events and all the future events are done in the present. We can see the past, present, and future as now when time is being discussed. Lastly, since the news is done in the immediate, the events are unlimited.

2. ''That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.''

This quote explaining that everyone will die eventually and even if people knew this phase, it enables us to die. If life were to never end, then it wouldn't be so sweet as Emily had said. It is best to fulfill your dreams and have the greatest time of your life because you will never know what would happened tomorrow.

3. ''If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain.''

This quote explaining that she will not live in vain if she were to stop someone heart from breaking. She will not dwell on the past because her life will then having meaning.

4. ''If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can ever warm me, I know that is poetry.''

This quote explaining that if she feel physically as if the top of her head were taken off, then that is poetry. I think that the poem that she wrote probably had an experience on the reader since she made a reference that she would read a book that was written by anyone she admire.

5. ''This is my letter to the world
     That never wrote to me.''

This quote explaining the connection between Emily and nature. The word that describe this connection is entrust. Nature's message is entrusted into invisible hands. Entrust is defined by assign the responsibility  to do something so I assume that Emily wanted nature to respond.

6. ''Saying nothing sometimes says the most.''

This quote explaining that it is important to be good talkers. Sometimes, the most powerful thing a leader can say is actually nothing. For Emily, silence has a habit of revealing meaning.

7. ''I dwell in possibility...''

This quote explaining her interest in the power gained by a poet through their poetry. The metaphor is being used to show a sign that poetry is possibility. Not only that it is a sign that poetry is possibility, but it can be more beautiful.

8. ''Nature is a haunted house--but Art--is a house that tries to be haunted.''

This quote explaining that there is no way demeaning towards art. She was intensity saying that art imitates nature. But, the implication of the remark goes further.

9. ''Parting is all we know of Heaven,
and all we need of Hell.''

This quote explaining that we part with those who die and hopefully-go to heaven, which is ironically, an eternal happiness for them. It shows a powerful paradox which is the parting of both heaven and hell. However, we who are left behind suffer the pain of their deaths.

10. ''I have been bent and broken, but- I hope-into a better shape.''

This quote explaining that she had been very depressed and underused for a long time, and she hopes that one day, that will change. Emily had to deal with events that change her personality and she doesn't want to ruin her for the rest of her life.

11. ''in this short life
     that only lasts ah hour
    how much-how little-is
    within our power.''

This quote explaining that Emily probably doesn't feel control of her life. An understatement is being used in this quote because she says that life only last ah hour. Lastly, her statement could one mean one thing: How much of our life are we in control of?

12. ''Whenever a thing is done for the first time, it releases a little demon.''

This quote explaining that people what tried these things for the first time had now had experience this method. And something when you make those decision, it ma haunt you. This is where it releases a little demon comes into play. It depend on our decision-making throughout your life.

13. ''To shut our eyes is to travel.''

This quote explaining that when you close your eyes, it can takes you inside yourself and for Emily, it shows a lot of emotions for her and she wants to envision what her life would be like. There is a chance that Emily's accuracy increases when she closes her eyes. It happened to man people after her so it would persuade Emily to recall those events in perspective.

14. '' open me carefully''

This quote explaining that she want to let her frustration out. She want her little demons to come out of her; she is feeling very open-minded. She seemed calm and wanted everything to go back to normal.

15. ''Till I loved I never liked enough.''

This quote explaining that love is life, and life is nothing without love. This is what Emily is dealing with because she fallen in love with a man and without him, she will suffer.

Frankenstein

This novel, Frankenstein is truly an amazing book. Victor's ambitious became a huge part throughout this novel and it involves not only his creation but also his family. The monster seemed out of touch for Victor because of the way Victor treated him and the monster is trying to fit in with the other humans so that he is not just scary, but also caring. The humans react to the monster to the way that people expected to because he is scary, but I seemed that they need to know so much about this creature rather than making the creature look bad. But at the end of the poem, I think that the monster is finally free because the monster doesn't have to deal with his problem with Victor any longer.

Macbeth Act 1 Reading Journal

Based on reading this poem, I would like to say that this was a start of becoming a good poem. On Act 1, Scene 1, it talked about the three witches about to meet Macbeth despite  thunder and lightning. The witches said that they will meet Macbeth ''when the battle's lost and won'' and when ''fair is foul and foul is fair. On Act 1, Scene 2, King Duncan confront a captain that was returning from battle. He was describing Macbeth's attack on the castle of Macdonwald, in which Macbeth was very successful on doing that. Ross and Angus enter with breaking news that The Thane of Cawdor has joined forces with Norway. Scene 3 talk about how Banquo and Macbeth repeating what the witches had told him and once he was named the Thane of Cawdor, he realized that this is actually real. Scene 4 is dealing with King Duncan  and he wanted to know if the former Thane of Cawdor has been executed. He also praised his two sons for thir loyalty and bravery. In the rest of the scene, Lady Macbeth read a letter from Macbeth that describes his meeting with the witches. This is where she started making all of the preparations for the king's visit and next murder. And on Scene 7, Lady Macbeth and his husband kill King Duncan despite him being drunk and they will blame the two bodyguards for his murder since they were drunk too.  This Act is only the beginning of what happened next, so Act 2 would be excited to read.

Macbeth Act 2 Reading Journal

Based on reading this poem, I would like to say as I read each scene in Act 2, I am started to see what is really going on. Act 2, Scene 1 is discussing Banquo and his issue with the witches' prophecy. As Macbeth enters the scene, Macbeth seem like he has little thought to the witches' prophecy. On Scene 2, Lady Macbeth seem worried that the bodyguards have awakened before Macbeth had plant the evidence on them. Macbeth seem shocked of what transpired and he feel guilty of his actions. In Scene 3, the Porter imagines that he is the porter at the door to Hell. The Porter was very strange in a way meanwhile Macduff ask Macbeth whether the king is awake yet. But then, he noticed that the king is dead. In the last scene, Ross and the old man discuss the unnatural events that have taken place recently and when Macduff enters, Ross asks whether the culprit has been discovered. The two sons seem very suspicion as Ross say that Macbeth will surely be named the next king. But Act 2 was like the fallout of the murder of King Duncan and a little details of what you need to know as we read the next Act in Macbeth.

Psalm 53

53 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  •  Line 1: The meaning of this line is that sinful people do not believe in God. It is a wicked thing to deny God, and a denial of God is often accompanied by a wicked lifestyle. It shows some characteristics of the sinful people.
  • Line 2: The meaning of these lines is that God looks from heavens on humans to see if anyone is wise to be with God.
  • Line 3: The meaning of this line is that they turned their back on God and they become filthy.
  • Line 4: The meaning of this line is that the workers of iniquity doesn't understand what is happened right now. They mistreated these people as if they are worthless.
  • Line 5: The meaning of this line is that they was terrified even though they claim that there is nothing to be worried about. God started annihilates those who attack us trustworthy people. The whole purpose is that God has rejected them.
  • Line 6: The meaning of this line is that God will started bring back his people. He wanted everyone to be joyful.
